Inspired by our well-known "les Muses et le Lion" print, the original design of which was created by Jean Baptiste Huet around 1800, which represents a revamped copy of the famous Diane huntress cloth printed at the Oberkampf factory in Jouy-en-Josas in about 1803. This composition illustrates the artist's evolution towards his third, more geometrical, style. This woven toile de Jouy which comes in 5 shades is finished with a slight calendering to afford it a glossy and elegant appearance.
