The three richly patterned jacquard designs within the Murano Weaves collection, are woven in Caserta which has been the traditional centre of silk weaving in Italy for hundreds of years. Ranging in style from indienne to oriental they are available in a palette of colours from cool, contemporary to rich, classic. ‘Murano’ and ‘Damasco Pirato’ are classically inspired designs, the former featuring motifs of pomegranate richly woven with an embroidered effect on a silk ground and the latter taken from a damask design in the Zoffany archive featuring a scrolling leaf pattern. ‘Vivaldi’ is taken from an antique Japanese kimono and is richly embroidered with stylised elements of fruit and flowers.
