SILK ROAD is a collection of four silk designs grouped together but to be sold individually as hangers, carrés or flat samples (USA) rather than in a pattern book. The name refers to the famous trading routes from the orient to continental Europe.

This design bears the name of the charming island near the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco favoured by artists and horticulturalists. The stylised flowers and foliage have Californian tones which are vibrant and soft, exotic and neutral making them suitable for a metropolitan environment as well as the country.
