SILK ROAD is a collection of four silk designs grouped together but to be sold individually as hangers, carrés or flat samples (USA) rather than in a pattern book. The name refers to the famous trading routes from the orient to continental Europe.

This design is named after the port in Sicily which was an important trading post on the maritime routes which crossed the Mediterranean. The crisscrossing lines are a reminiscent of a Madras check and this brings a geometric note to the collection. The colour combinations include classic grey and tobacco but also more exotic ones mixing acid green with pink, violet or yellow.
