Bespoke Handmade Sofas

Our furniture is handmade in our English workshop by a team of craftsmen using glued, screwed and dowelled beech wood frames with coil sprung base units and individual sprung back with 100% duck feather cushions as standard.

Cushion comfort is an individual choice and we normally recommend duck feather, however alternative fillings available also include foam or feather and foam wrap at no extra cost.

Workmanship

All pieces are individually hand cut by fully experienced personnel, with patterns matched to the highest standards.

All machined joins are backed with a reinforcing strip for extra strength on all seams. Cushions are over-locked on all edges before being made, and again, patterns are matched to the highest standards.Using traditional upholstery methods, each individual item is hand upholstered by skilled craftsmen paying attention to every detail incorporated in the upholstery process.Where valances or backed fringes are incorporated into the finished product, these are over-locked on all raw edges before being carefully hand sewn onto the item of furniture. Prices are for the standard sizes of our furniture including VAT, fabric fitting, schedule 3 interliner (fire regulations) but not the cost of fabric.

Please select the unique handmade sofa that you feel will work for you in your home, all dimensions are listed above. (If at this stage you need some advice and help working out which shape or style or dimension goes together, we would love to hear from you on 01491 839958 or 01491 833126 so that you get the right product). Once you have ordered your handmade piece, our frame makers can start working on it and during this period I will come and visit you with a selection of beautiful fabric books for you to see in the room. If you are a vast distance away you can send me photographs of the room and I will personally select a swatch pack of fabrics for you to choose from out of over 80 fabric manufactures we display in the barn showroom.

I find that it really helps all-round if I come over and see you with the latest fabric collections, this gives me an instant picture of what your trying to do. I have had some customers who before coming to see me spent years debating which fabrics and furniture shapes go together, whilst I have helped them achieve what they wanted in just a couple of visits.

Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. We always try to have your furniture delivered and installed well before this time.
